Once logged in choose the Autumn Word box and click load. Here you will be able to view the museum box that I have created. You can choose the different number of boxes and the different colors. Museum box allows you to construct cubes that contain information related to a topic. On each side of the box you can choose how you will represent the ideas with the different options. By adding things to the drawer the user has access to everything and then just drops it onto the side of the cube that you want it on. Here you can see that I have chosed six different words and created text boxes for the front of my boxes. This museum box is set up like a vocabulary lesson. I have chosen six words related to autumn and provided a defnintion, picture, sentence, and some have a link or activity that accompanies it in the box. This website has many opportunities to use sounds, videos, pictures, text boxes, files, and web links to illustrate one idea and create a multi-faceted look at the subject area presented in the box. At first I found the site hard to navigate and a little confusing to work with. I was very frustrated with uploading files and web links because after I uploaded them I could not see them. Through outside help videos I found that the only way to see them is to submit your museum box to the website editors. I did not do this with my box because it can take days to do and then it is difficult to remove your box from the sight. In a reading arts classroom this would be helpful because you could have your students create a museum box and then submit it and after it has been approved you can comment on their boxes. Through the site you can register your school and then all the videos would be organized and ready for you to comment on. I recommend this site for the classroom but only after the students have seen you do a couple as a class and the teacher has played around it at first so that they can see the tricks and steps they need to take to complete the cubes.
